The much-anticipated Whitehaven Harbour Classic 40s are making substantial progress, with the first hulls due to Australia before the end of summer.

Evoking the elegance and ease of bygone era, the Whitehaven Harbour Classic 40 was born from a serendipitous moment on the water - a yearning for the simplicity of style and substance, communion and connection with the sea, a blend of luxury and practicality for entertaining, and a calmer pace of boating.

But don't be misled by her genteel appearance, this new model is as revolutionary as she is retro. Each one will be a customised masterpiece, brought to life for her owners with the personalised approach, precision and pride that are hallmarks of Whitehaven Motor Yachts.

The perfect antidote to today's hectic lifestyle, this 40ft dayboat combines the timeless appeal of a gentleman's cruiser with the benefits of high-tech design and engineering. The Whitehaven Harbour Classic 40 is the ultimate entertainer, blessed with a generous aft deck with seating for 6, flowing into the spacious saloon and lounge for an optimal social setup.

Below decks, the galley is bathed in natural light, enjoys a line of sight to the helm and all the mod-cons of boutique apartment living for a perfect day or weekend on the water. Accommodation is flexible depending on owners needs with the ability to sleep up to six aboard, so friends and family are always welcome.

Offering single or twin engine arrangements, owners, can prioritise pace and maintenance to suit their boating lifestyle. Either way, she'll achieve 25 to 30 knots to find that ideal anchorage in time for sunset cocktails.

Elegant, refined, so well suited to a more leisurely pace of boating, the Harbour Classic 40 represents the romance of yesteryear with the precision engineering, power and performance that are synonymous with all Whitehaven vessels.

The first two models will each sport different rooflines and engine configurations and varying presentations of interior and exterior styling options. After private presentations, the first official release will be at the 2019 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May.

Due to the overwhelmingly positive response to the concept so far, Whitehaven Motor Yachts have started a third Harbour Classic 40 which is expected to be based on Sydney Harbour. While her specific colour scheme has yet to be revealed, it is likely she will follow in the same bold, retro vein as her sister boats, which will include each sport mid-century automotive-inspired paintwork.
